Bootable system recovery disk for Windows

If you have always has a fear of getting your windows in trouble then you should have a "System recovery USB" to get help in bad time. Bootable USB recovery disk always helps in case of any trouble and problem caused ( often boot loader get wiped) to your system and preventing it from starting. If you are a Windows 7 or later user then follow these procedure:-

How to Create System Recovery Bootable disk in Windows 7 or later

First method:-

With optical disk drive

You will need a blank dvd and USB pendrive, Win zip or Win rar for unpacking image files and any software for creating ISO files ( I am using nero free version).
In Windows 7 system recovery can be created easily using backup and restore option.
Before you start creating your bootable recovery usb drive, Format your Pen drive and change file system type to NTFS.
Now format your usb drive normally and please take care of the minimum size of your storage drive should be 4 GB.
Now Open your Start Menu and navigate to maintenance folder and select "Create a system repair disk"
Now insert blank dvd in your drive and let the process be complete fully.
After the process completed open your ISO creator software and create a ISO file of recovery DVD or if you want to skip this process you can download it from bit.ly/techjunk11
Now Extract the whole ISO file using Win rar to your USB bootable drive.
This process is quite confusing but easy to do in short, burn a Recovery disk and create a iso file from that dvd and extract it to USB and your Bootable USB drive is ready.

Second method:-

Without disk drive

In case if you don't have system recovery image in your hand then we can create a virtual cd/dvd drive (Readable and writeable), you can use software like 'Virtual CloneDrive' , 'Total mounter' or 'Compare with Virtual CloneDrive'.
Now Run your Virtual drive software and mount a drive and select path to save image file and then burn recovery image file to your created virtual cd/dvd drive and the iso fill will be saved on your virtual drive and now you can create ISO file from that virtual drive or just create a archive file from it and extract it directly to your formatted (file system should be NTFS) USB drive.

How to create system recovery USB bootable drive on Windows 8

Windows 8 is much updated version of operating system and creating recovery bootable USB is much easier in Windows 8 and 8.1.
To create Bootable recovery USB drive search for 'Create a recovery drive' and then complete the wizard.

Note before doing anyting you will need to set your usb as a active partition See :- Create Bootable USB without any software
